My goal for this year was to concentrate on the things that make me happy...I have done so for approx. 70% of the time. I have spent more time this year than in the past with my best Buddie. I was sewing/quilting a bit more but lately I have not. My sewing room is in the basement; it is cold, damp and probably the most uncreative space there is. I tend to work on genealogy more during the winter months and yes, I am happy with what I have recorded. As of today I have over 1300 people in my family tree.
My husband is still unemployed, it has been six months. I am thinking about getting another job. My friends tell me that I am nuts. I do not want to loose my house, so I must do what I have to do. At this time I am at my heaviest in weight and I am thinking about gastric bypass.
Should I continue to whoa is me, my life sucks, I have that grey raincloud over my head, why don't things work out for me...I can go on. But I tell myself, things could be worst. I am still waking up every morning, we are healthy for the most part, we do have food in the house, it might not be the best but at least we have something. I tell myself with God at my side all things are possible. I pray.

Snow....
It's been a bit...in the last couple of weeks, I sewed up some thread cathchers and they all sold. I worked on my family genealogy and it is up to date and in their binders. Your family grows as the tree keeps branching off. Saturday is the DuPage County Genealogical Society annual conference. I am looking forward to learning something new.
Now only if I could get rid of this cold and if only my husband could find a job. Life would be good.

Got hit with a Sinus Infection
I feel like CRUDE. I would like to sew today, already put on the heater in the dungeon. I am hoping for somewhat of a productive day. Sewing, laundry, and rest.
We are going to see my Dad tomorrow and celebrate his Valentine's Birthday, yeah !!!
He will be 76 years old !!
As for my Valentine...there are my three boys. My unloving husband and I are not really on speaking terms right now. It is pretty sad that we have not kissed since last year. He is once again unemployed (going on six months this time) and I cannot take it any more. He has been unemployed more than he has worked during our entire marriage. What should I do ? I really just don't care anymore...

Girls Week End
Okay, I had the best week end in a very long time. My bestfriend and I had a sleepover on Saturday night and walked around downtown. We did a whole lot of nothing and alot of talking, something I needed.

Saturday...Genealogy Day
Well, since I can not quilt for a few more days, I am hoping to work on my genealogy. I need to update what I have found in the past few months and add it to my Family Tree on the computer. I love having the house to myself but I am finding it hard to get motivated today. The twins are at a birthday party and are spending the night over, my oldest is working and the DH is out with his Metal Detecting Club for their annual Pizza party. Now, if I could get working...
Tomorrow is a lecture at the library "Chicago's Railroad History" by Craig Pfannkuche.

Turtles, Quilting & Genealogy
Why you ask?? These are the things that I enjoy. I love turtles, their intricate shells and the how that is within them. I love to quilt/sew, I like to work on wall hangings, table runners and on the occasion I will work on American girl clothes for my niece. Now, family genealogy is a history in itself, just knowing where your family came from, where they lived, how they looked and where are we going. That is interesting.
I need a place to vent my feelings, my need to runaway to my own place.
